Randy Douthit

Randy Douthit is the co-founder and CEO of Moxie. He was an early investor in Twitter and also served as Chief Technology Officer. Randy is a graduate of Yale University and Duke University Law School. He has helped launch many internet companies, including Launch Media, VeriSign, News Corp’s MySpace, Google’s AdSense, Lead411

and Quigo Technologies Incorporated. In addition to his successful internet career, he has been involved with philanthropic work in education and childhood hunger prevention through the United Nations World Food Programme.

Moxie’s software products include The Audience Grid, which organizes audiences into categories of influence; Positioning Center, which allows marketers to turn their product launches into events; Influencers Network, a micro-influencer marketplace; and Influencer Automation Engine, a fully managed engagement platform that manages the entire influencer marketing process for brands.

Moxie has been named to the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies thrice, most recently in 2015. The company has also been included in Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list for three consecutive years. In addition to those recognitions, VentureBeat named Moxie one of the top 5 Influencer Marketing Platforms in 2017.

Randy serves on the board of directors for IndieWire, Common Sense Media, and several other private technology companies. He is an advisor to the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation. Randy is also a member of the advisory board for the Brooklyn Bridge Venture Fund (BBVF), which was founded by former Sony Pictures CEO Amy Pascal.

Randy Douthit serves on the board of directors of Common Sense Media, the nation’s leading organization, to equip kids with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a world of media and technology.

In 2013, Randy co-chaired a committee for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) that produced an annual report on childhood hunger in America. This project aimed to change public policy around childhood hunger in America by educating everyday citizens about its impact and encouraging them to take action. The report has been released every year since.

Also in 2013, Randy joined the advisory board of All Square, a non-profit that works with inner-city youth through entrepreneurship and software development education programs.
