Ballet Flats Business Leader

Kfir Gavrieli Uses Succes in Business to Help Others

Kfir Gavrieli, founder an CEO of Tieks, has not only used his visionary talent, experience and education to build a successful, first of its kind brand; he also uses it to help others around the world.

In 2010, he founded Tieks, an exclusive line of women’s ballet flats that are only available through the company’s website. The Italian-leather foldable flats are known for their comfort, quality, and portability.

For Kfir Gavrieli, however, building a successful brand is not the primary focus. He saw Tieks as an opportunity to have a positive impact on the world. His success with Tieks made it possible for him to form the Gavrieli Foundation, which empowers women entrepreneurs around the world. The Gavrieli Foundation also works with KIVA to fund loans to assist in helping aspiring entrepreneurs rise out of poverty.

During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kfir Gavrieli found another way to help others. After hearing of the lack of personal protection equipment available to essential healthcare workers, his company sewed and donated thousands of face masks. Using social media, he also encouraged his fans to do the same through Tieks Operation #SewTogether campaign. Tieks offered gift cards to those supported the cause as well as to essential workers.

Kfir Gavrieli has been called a hero, and he spoke on what he believes a hero is. He believes that heroes are self-sacrificing, humble people who put the needs of others ahead of their own, such as all of the essential workers who risked their own health being on the front line of the coronavirus pandemic. His parents, immigrants who started a small business, were the first heroes he ever experienced in his life. He now understands the sacrifices his parents made in order to give him a better life.

Kfir Gavrieli was optimistic during the pandemic, believing that the world was experiencing the best of what mankind had to offer by being selfless and coming together for a common cause. Refer to this article for additional information.
