Alejandro Pena Keter is the founder and CEO of Zebrio, a company focusing on leveraging artificial intelligence to help students get into the college of their dreams.

Alejandro Pena was born in Mexico City in 1988. He graduated from Rice University with a degree in Economics, with minors in Statistics and Political Science. Alejandro then attended Wharton Business School where he obtained his MBA.

In 2009, Alejandro co-founded Qwikwire where he served as Chief Operating Officer for 5 years. His role was to help grow the company, establish sales and marketing teams, build an infrastructure team to manage 100+ personnel and oversee product development.

Qwikwire was in charge of transferring money across the country to non-bank destinations in Mexico. The company was acquired by Western Union in 2015.

Alejandro later went on to start Qwicke, a technology company that uses mobile applications to help students study for their tests. It was acquired by Matthew Rettig in 2017.

In 2012, Alejandro founded Zebrio, a company focused on leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to help high school and college students navigate the college admissions process.

Zebrio has been featured at TechCrunch Disrupt NY, LAUNCH Festival and Impact Forum.Keter and his co-founders have been featured in Forbes, Inc.

Zebrio was awarded the Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award and has a total of $2.3 million seed funded from investors such as: S3 Ventures (Scott Stanford), Slow Ventures (Dana Settle), Social Starts (Kevin Landis), 500 Startups (David McClure) and others.

Alejandro Pena holds a degree in Economics from Rice University and a graduate degree in Management from Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania.

HE is married to Vanessa Pena Keter, who is also an entrepreneur in the Tech space. They have four children together, Lucas(11), Nicolas (9) Esha(3) and Mason (7 months).He is originally from Mexico City and currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Alejandro Pena Keter serves on the Board of Directors of UCLA’s Latinx Alum Network, which works to promote Latinx leadership and social startups.

He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

Alejandro Pena Keter has been a speaker at the Wharton Undergraduate and MBA Career Fairs, at Stanford University, UCLA and other schools.
