Kelcy Warren, Chairman and CEO of Energy Transfer, is a man of many talents. Born in 1959 to an oil drilling family with over 50 years in the industry, Kelcy Warren had a humble childhood, but it was clear even as a boy that he had an aptitude for leadership. For this reason, he enrolled in college on an ROTC scholarship, giving him the tools to become a successful businessman.

He started working for Eastern Construction Company and eventually became Vice President of Production. His success led him to be named CEO of Rose Rock Midstream Services Company (NASDAQ: RRMS) in 1990. This led to him being chosen to lead the company that would later become ETP and is now known as Energy Transfer Partners.

Kelcy Warren has garnered many awards throughout his career, including Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year. He received the Pope John Paul II Energy Award from the National Council of Catholic Men and was appointed a member of the National Petroleum Council. He also holds an M.B.A from the University of Akron and attended Northern Kentucky University, where he earned an M.S in Petroleum Engineering and an Honorary Doctorate in Law from Bucknell University, where he was awarded for his community service for his Honorary Degree in Business Administration.
